ISO 9001: 2000 - Upgrading Your Quality System 4 Hours

Companies who are currently registered under the ISO 9000:1994 National Standard will soon be required to revise their system and documentation to be compliant with the new ISO 9001:2000 Standard due to be published year end 2000. Upon publication of the new Standard, the current Standard, ISO 9000:1994 will become obsolete. Although there will be a defined time period for conversion to the new Standard, registered companies will need to understand how these changes will affect their existing management system, in order to develop a strategy for conversion of their documentation.

This class provides a review of the ISO 9001:2000 requirements and identifies where changes may be needed in your system. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the shift from a quality assurance system focus to a quality management system focus. The increased emphasis on more effective quality management, measurement and analysis, system improvement and customer satisfaction in the ISO 9001:2000 Standard will be discussed.

Target Audience: Management and/or Implementation Teams from companies who are already compliant or certified to the ISO 9000:1994 Standard.

Prerequisite: Understanding of the ISO 9000:1994 Standard.
